Terms of Use
These simple terms cover using All Souls Day. By using the site, you agree to them.
Last updated: 14 August 2026.
What this site is
All Souls Day lets anyone post a public tribute remembering someone who has died, light a candle on a tribute, and optionally receive an annual reminder by email. It is offered as a free service, as-is.
Your tributes
- You keep ownership of the words you write. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive licence to store, display and share your tribute on this site (including its shareable page and preview image) so the service can work.
- You confirm that what you post is yours to post, is truthful in spirit, and does not infringe anyone’s rights or privacy.
- Keep it respectful. Tributes must follow the Content Policy. We may edit for obvious formatting, or remove content that breaks the rules.
Acceptable use
Please do not: post spam, advertising, links or contact details (these are automatically blocked); impersonate others or post about a living person as though they had died; harass, defame or abuse; attempt to break, overload or probe the site; or use it for anything unlawful.
Moderation and removal
To keep the wall a safe and kind place, submissions may be checked, held for review, or removed. We may remove any content or restrict any user at our discretion, particularly where the Content Policy is broken or we receive a legitimate removal request.
No warranty
The site is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or that content will be permanently retained. Please keep your own copy of anything precious.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
